Sounds So Nice.... Had to Record it Twice

Homage to Frankie Crocker "The Chief Rocker", 107.5 WBLS-FM!

I hear lots of songs that remind me of songs I listened to growing up. The latest two are "Ain't Leaving Without You" by Jaheim, and "Million Dollar Baby" by Robin Thicke. These two songs were inspired by the originals performed way back.

The bass line in Jaheim's song is inspired by Fat Larry's Band "Act Like You Know". It's not a sample. It's a re-recording. The scatting and vocals done by the background singers is also reminicent of the Mary Jane Girls backing Rick James, and some P-Funk or Bootsy Collins!

Robin Thicke's song is inspired by Marvin Gaye "Trouble Man".
